I'm certified by the Aquatic Exercise Association as an Aquatic Fitness Instructor.

Aquatic exercise is very popular today. And, I believe that it will be the fitness wave of the future.

It's great for:

Expectant and new moms

It feels easier than gym workouts, because the water cushions your joints

There’s less soreness, because the water massages your muscles

There’s no uncomfortable, sweaty feeling, because the water cools you

Here’s a land vs. water calorie burning comparison:

Aerobics in a health club class:
6.2 to 6.6 calories per minute

Aerobics in shallow water:
5.7 to 6.5 calories per minute

Jogging in a park:
8.0 calories per minute

Deep water jogging, with flotation belt:
11.5 calories per minute

It’s clear that water exercise meets or beats the same workout on land!
